From day now, big demands are made of temperature control systems in modern buildings. Traditional systems for example: ventilation air conditioning quickly reach their limits regarding optimal comfort with minimal space and energy requirements. The traditional radiator heating and air conditioning systems are increasingly being displaced by capillary tube systems for heating and cooling, because of  the following advantages

  • cooling and heating in one system
  • comfortable room climate because of radiation energy
  • applicable at walls, ceilings and floor
  • strict CO₂-neutrality reachable
  • substantial reduction of energy costs up to 90% because of consequent usage of regenerative energy sources due to low inlet temperature
  • considerable reduction of insulation costs since no outside insulation required, especially for (monument-listed) buildings
  • insulation on the inside of monument-listed buildings without disturbing – or even worse – destroying the appearance of the historical façade
  • no inflammability of the insulation material (neither the permeable inside insulating plaster nor calcium-silicate is inflammable but extremely heat-resisting)
  • deployable in both old and new buildings
  • no irritation caused by either dry or polluted or heavily circulating air (draft) (comfortable feeling)
  • constantly relative air humidity between 40% and 60% protects furniture (antiques)
  • prevention of mold fungus because of high ph-factor of calcium-silicate
  • avoidance of condensate problems when in the cooling process the dew point is being undercut (no dew point sensor required)
  • storage of occurring condensate in calcium-silicate panel
  • passive cooling when the system is deactivated and the condensate humidity is slowly returning into the room ( by way of evaporation)
  • avoidance of condensate problems when in case of cold outside temperature humid and cold air from outside meets onto up-heated room air
  • applicable for use in moderate as well as subtropical climate
  • perfect combination of inside insulating plaster and Hippokrates-System
  • maintenance free – no changing of filters or checking of burners
  • easy to handle because of a simple control technology
  • long service life
  • environmental protection

Energy-saving:

For heating in winter, the input water temperature is around 22-32℃. Compared with the 45-60℃of common floor heating pipes and 70-80℃of the traditional heating radiator, the capillary tube mat system can save 20-40% energy.

For cooling in summer, the input water temperature is around 16-18℃, which is much higher than the 5-7℃of the common air conditioning system, which can help save 60-70% energy.

Space-saving:

The thickness of capillary tube mat installation is about 10mm; water filling weight is about 750g/m2.For example: For a 20-floor building with traditional central air conditioning, using capillary tube mat can save 2 floors space, which can form great economical benefits.

Capillary mats have the unique ability to both heat and cool plants in one system.

Capillary Mats and the Environment
Capillary mats are able to heat and cool in one system. The acclimatisation mats can be used in private rooms, offices, manufacturing plans, server rooms and many other places. It is a closed system with circulating water with allows heating and cooling with one system. The capillary mats system is based on a similar basic structure as human blood stream.

The water circulates in a closed loop. Due to large main pipes which are connected with a multitude of small tubes (capillary tubes) results in a large surface to transfer the energy. The large surface allows low water temperatures like 25 – 32 °C for the heating compared with 50 – 60 °C at a regular heating system.
The new capillary mats technique is easy to connect with standard heating systems. It is also very easy to supply it in already existing buildings. Exactly the same system is used to cool down the rooms in summer time. Therefore it just needs water temperatures of about 16 °C.  Besides the much better indoor climate, it is a significant cost saving against standard heating and cooling systems. All together the heating and cooling with capillary mats is environmentally friendly, healthy and well being and reduces operating costs considerably.
Other application areas for acclimatisation mats are: Energy feed back of waste water. The mats can be also integrated in plaster board and acoustic ceilings. Last but not least a big advantage is that the mats are made of PP (Polypropylene).
Polypropylene is a plastic which is environmentally friendly, easy to recycle and without any remaining toxic materials. It can be used almost everywhere even in acid and suds. There is almost no limit in the use of the capillary mats systems to save energy and to get a healthy room climate.

Energy Selection:

Capillary tube mat can work together with air source heat pump, water source heat pump, ground source heat pump, solar energy, and independent dehumidifying system.

Healthy and Comfortable:

When it comes to choosing capillary tube mats that are both healthy and comfortable, there are a few key factors to consider:

1. Material: Look for mats made from natural and non-toxic materials such as 100% organic cotton or bamboo. These materials are breathable, soft, and hypoallergenic, ensuring a healthy and comfortable sleeping surface.

2. Thickness: Opt for capillary tube mats that have a sufficient thickness to provide adequate cushioning and support. Too thin of a mat can lead to discomfort and pressure points, while too thick of a mat may not allow for proper airflow.

3. Moisture-wicking properties: Capillary tube mats with moisture-wicking properties are ideal as they help regulate temperature and keep you dry throughout the night. This feature prevents the growth of bacteria and mold, ensuring a healthier sleeping environment.

4. Ease of cleaning: Choose capillary tube mats that are easy to clean and maintain. Mats that are machine washable or have removable and washable covers are convenient and help promote hygiene.

5. Size and fit: Ensure the capillary tube mat is the right size for your bed or sleeping area. Mats that are too small or large can be uncomfortable and affect your overall sleep quality.

By considering these factors, you can select capillary tube mats that are both healthy and comfortable, promoting a good night’s sleep and overall well-being.

Capillary tube mat realizes the heat exchange in a form of radiation. With great heat exchange surface area, capillary tube mat system has the features of no noise, no air flow, no bacterial overgrowth.

Easy Installation:

The diameter of capillary tube mat is only 4.3mm or 3.4mm. It can be hidden installed in-wall, ground and ceiling. It doesn’t take up space in the room, has little influence on house decoration and can be easily installed.

Safe and Reliable:

Each piece of capillary tube mat must pass the pressure test of 20 bar before delivery. With high quality, the using life of capillary tube mat is around 50 years. And the whole system can run steadily without maintenance with professional design and installation.

Extensive Application:

Not only Greata Capillary tube mat can be used as the air conditioning terminal product and also can be used as energy collection terminal.
